Mute the original Gothic Melodic Metal band was originally formed in 2000 when the 3 brothers ( Dez, Kail & Jun) decided to create a sound which at the time had not been heard, which lead to 4 months of grueling sessions of sweat ,blood and tears in the Texas heat preparing the unique sound which they would from that day forth be known for. With a Melodic Soulful / Gothic Metal sound Mute took to the stage and created an uproar, playing on the bill with such bands as Fair To Midland, Lokey , Meek ,Violet Trip ,Killswitch Inc. ,Pitbull Daycare ,Drip ,Silo to name a few..The list is endless and venues vast such as the White Rabbit during the early 2000's when it was the venue to be at in San Antonio, TacoLand, The Silver Bullet, Sams Burger Joint. During the era of Metal in San Antonio when such bands as Union Underground and Pitbull Daycare were breaking into the national scene.
