What is the title of your upcoming CD? How did you come up with the name?

HATECROWNED

The upcoming album's title is "NEWBORN SERPENT", The serpent has always been a symbol of the adversarial powers and a manifestation of evil and might. It's a beast feared by all even by its own kind, and therefore it is resembles us. We used the word Newborn to refer to our awakening and new birth through
Chaos Darkness and Death. Besides, this album to us is one of our bestial work that will come to life soon.

Is this your first CD and if not, how is this one different from the others?

HATECROWNED

No, we have released already an EP "Warpact In Black". The difference is absolutely huge lyrically and musically. "Newborn Serpent" has more specific and determined theme. Musically it's more tight, more raw and the drums this time is recorded live. The lyrics are written in English rather than Arabic and enriched by more misanthropic and satanic/occult content.

Did you write all the songs before going into the studio or did you write them as you were recording?

HATECROWNED

Mainly they were composed and written before the process of recording, however there were several changes done in the studio.

Walk us thru the process of writing your music?

HATECROWNED

We write not when we need to, but when we feel to. Mainly the music is written by Dahaaka, but also we discuss together when it comes to the structural parts. Dahaaka follows a certain musical theme during the process of writing and of course we base our self on traditional black metal techniques, atmosphere and progressiveness. The lyrics are what's giving the muse in the creation of the music.

Where did you record and why?

HATECROWNED

Well, The drums were recorded at Art of War Studio in Denmark by Benjamin Lauritsen as well as mixing and mastering for all tracks, The vocals were recorded by Ayvaal and Bass by Eddy Ferekh both at Serene Moon Studio in Lebanon, The Guitars and Keys were done at our home studio by Dahaaka

HHow did you pay for your recording?

HATECROWNED

From our personal money, there was no sponsor.

Did you have a producer or did you self-produce? If so, what kind of input did the producer have. If your self-produced, why?

HATECROWNED

Benjamin Lauritsen our drummer and co-owner of Art of War Studio is our producer. He takes care of our sound.

Did you try to capture your "live sound" or did you go for something else?

HATECROWNED

We could not have any specific live sound due to the shitty organization and the equipment provided by the venues in Lebanon. Therefore, we work on our studio sound.

Did your record label have any input into the music you recorded?

HATECROWNED

No, Satanath Records they did not interfere or restrict us in any way.

Are you pleased with the final product?

HATECROWNED

Of course we are, or else we wouldn't release our album until we reach the result we aim for

Where will we be able to pick up a copy?

HATECROWNED

Very soon in August 2015

Will you be touring to promote your CD?

HATECROWNED

Unfortunately, we cant make any plans for touring for the mean time, but we will try to organize a local album release concert

Would rather be recording or playing live shows?

HATECROWNED

They both are important, but for many reasons our main focus now is on recording, but of course it is our goal to tour and play across countries in the future
