What is the title of your upcoming CD? How did you come up with the name?
ORDER 66
The name is Battalion of gentlemen, A long time ago before we recorded we asked some our friends what they think it should be named. The major consensus was everybody liked that name so we kind of just stuck with it.

ATP
Is this your first CD and if not, how is this one different from the others?
ORDER 66
We've released EP's including the no exit sessions, and Post Mortem which are just 4 or 5 songs. This is our first full length album and it's interesting because it was all recorded a few years before we recorded our last EP Post Mortem. It's literally looking at history, (well to me personally at least) Because some of these songs we don't play or rarely play live any more. Also the mixing and mastering on it sounds great. Bubonic Nate at No exit records did a great job recording and mixing us, and Bob Carlson who mastered Battalion of Gentlemen made it sound great.

Did you write all the songs before going into the studio or did you write them as you were recording?
ORDER 66
All the songs we write happen before we enter the studio, however some things change while were recording such as there will be a scream where there wasn't before or a guitar part that wasn't originally there. I personally think of the studio as my spell-check. Where as you can listen back to something and if you want to change or add something you can.

Walk us thru the process of writing your music?
ORDER 66
Oh shit, I've never thought about that before. I guess the best way to say it is we kind of all have these ideas. Like somebody has a riff and I have something written on paper that I want to use with that or we kind of just jammed and came up with something cool that we liked and I'll write lyrics to it. I also think it helps that we all have these many different influences both instrumentally and lyrically. The best ones however are when we go into our rehearsal spot and we just start playing, it's like it just happened naturally. It's hard to explain because for us there is no single writing process.

ATP
Where did you record and why?
ORDER 66
We recorded at No Exit Records in Lancaster CA. We have alot of friends who have recorded there such as synthecircuit, Devil MCcoy, and Thoughtcrime. Plus interesting enough Bubonic Nate was also our professor for the class we met in at Antelope Valley College. He agreed to record us because we were his former students.

ATP
HHow did you pay for your recording?
ORDER 66
Johnny sucked a lot of dick. just kidding, I'm not at liberty to discuss that at the moment out of respect for Bubonic Nate

ATP
Did you have a producer or did you self-produce? If so, what kind of input did the producer have. If your self-produced, why?
ORDER 66
We had a producer but he also gave us full creative output, if he didn't like something he would suggest something else but if we wanted to keep it he would let us keep the part in or whatever.

ATP
Did you try to capture your "live sound" or did you go for something else?
ORDER 66
We tried to capture the energy from our live shows in the recordings. Not necessarily our live show sound

ATP
Did your record label have any input into the music you recorded?
ORDER 66
As long as it didn't sound like shit they mainly stepped aside.

ATP
Are you pleased with the final product?
ORDER 66
I'm very pleased, When I first heard it I thought it was surreal. If you know about the history of this band then you'd know we've been waiting a long time for this to be released. I can't wait for people to hear it.

ATP
Where will we be able to pick up a copy?
ORDER 66
Online at our bandcamp, Physical copies at our live shows apart from that I think there will be a few more places where you can pick it up but I'm not sure where else yet.

ATP
Will you be touring to promote your CD?
ORDER 66
We have plans but nothing I can say set in stone yet. We will keep people posted on what happens with that.

ATP
Would rather be recording or playing live shows?
ORDER 66
That's like asking which child you love more.........I'll say live shows.

ATP
Anything you would like to say to your fans?
ORDER 66
